Spotlight on amazing Students and a lovely collection!

From the moment L’Atelier11 opened, Iain’s Thursday and Friday Art Clubs have had a waiting list.
We want to celebrate some of the wonderful work being produced.
The winter term had a grand finale by creating lino print Christmas cards.
Each card from both groups was then printed together to share!
Students started the new term by exploring the printmaking techniques of drypoint etching and using mirror plate.
Both methods are intaglio approaches creating ‘plates’ which are then inked and printed with damp paper and a press. Here’s their fabulous results.....
More recently they were challenged with all working from the same image provided by Iain.
Primarily students worked in oil pastels but developed to watercolour, collage and soft pastel amongst other mediums.
This interesting approach allows students to see each others work develop and see the different takes on the image!
